My wife and I bought a set of platinum bands for our wedding, but I wanted to have a set of spare rings for two reasons: 1) for when we're working in the yard or doing some kind of outdoor activity that they might get scratched or dinged up, and 2) for us to use when we're travelling so in case they are ever lost or stolen while abroad, we'd still have our first set secure in the safe. Since our original rings are platinum, the heft and feel of the Tungsten is a perfect alternate. It's not a boat anchor, but you can defintely feel it there, and if it's not there, you'll notice it, unlike lighter metals like titanium that you kind of forget are on your hand. I couldn't be more happy with the way the tungsten rings looks. Subtle yet with the right amount of sparkle with the faceted edge as to look great but not draw undue attention, and the ring box that comes with it is a very nice, classy touch.
