When you want to get away but don't want the hassle of getting your passports, Napa Valley in California offers a great place for couples to celebrate their impending nuptials with their guests. The wine country offers great wine tours and wonderful food in addition to great spa experiences and beautiful views of the mountains and landscapes. Have your ceremony in a vineyard or at a resort overlooking the scenery. This luxurious location can give your guests an experience of a lifetime.

Hawaii

While you would be leaving the lower 48, the islands of Hawaii include numerous wedding destinations that wouldn't force your guests to get their passports renewed. There are so many options for a destination wedding in Hawaii. You can choose the island of Kauai, the northernmost Hawaiian island, where the least amount of people live, making it one of the quieter islands. Although it's hard to find a Hawaiian island that isn't beautiful, Oahu offers some of the best hotel beach weddings, while Maui has many tropical locations that would make a beautiful rainforest wedding. Turtle Bay Resort is one of the larger hotels on the north shore of Oahu, and brides can find all kinds of wedding packages from which to choose. On the opposite side of the tropical Maui are the scenic beaches of Waimanalo Beach and Kewala Beach, both of which would make wonderful destination wedding locations. More remote locations include Molokai, the Big Island, or Lanai, where you can create wedding packages that include great experiences such as whale-watching and exploring the lava rocks.

When it comes to destination weddings in Mexico, the number one choice for destination weddings, brides and grooms have a lot of choices. With constant warm weather, sunshine, great food, beautiful beaches, and a culture with a splash of bright color, Mexico has a few interesting options. Los Cabos, also known as Cabo, can be a wonderful backdrop for a beautiful wedding. There are many hotels and villas that offer all-inclusive wedding packages for couples looking to have a memorable wedding. Cozumel sits on the Caribbean side of Mexico and is a wonderful place for a wedding. Guests can enjoy snorkeling and scuba-diving during their stay at this island off the Yucatan Peninsula. There are larger resorts or smaller hotels that offer wonderful wedding packages that include special locations and even wedding planners. Cozumel even has two different dolphin sanctuaries.

Jamaica

If you decide to have your wedding in one of the most beautiful places on earth, you'll probably have to have it in Jamaica. The beaches are unbelievably intimate, the mountains are breathtakingly gorgeous, and there are waterfalls that you can incorporate into your ceremony. Is there a better place to get married and then honeymoon with your new spouse? Whether your destination wedding will be a party of 12 or a huge affair with 400 guests, you can choose to have your wedding on the beach, in a lovely garden, in a hotel resort, or in one of the plantation homes on the island. Jamaica is a great place to have your wedding if you don't have the time to plan it: There are great resorts that offer wedding consultants located on the island that can help you plan your entire wedding, down to every detail. Guests can visit the Blue Mountains, visit the national parks, or go on a coffee plantation tour in their down time.

Italy

If you want a romantic place to say "I do" but you don't want to make it an island or tropical destination, you can choose to visit Italy. Italy is hands down one of the most romantic places on earth. From the architecture in Venice and the ancient ruins of Rome to the art galleries in Florence and the sea cliffs of Sorrento, Italy has the most diverse history and the most unique places to give you a great destination wedding and getaway. You have an endless number of hotels and resorts that will house your wedding ceremony, and there are great sights for your guests to see. Then, after the ceremony and reception, you and your new sweetheart can be whisked off to another city to see the sights.
