I've been dreaming about my wedding dress since I was a little girl. For women everywhere, finding the perfect dress is one of the most (if not the most) important parts of wedding planning. Your wedding will be one of the biggest, most special days of your life, so splurging on the perfect dress is expected. If things go as they should you will be spending the rest of your life happily married to your significant other. Stun them when you walk down the aisle in a dress that seems like it was made just for you. Some of the most popular wedding dress designers have become household names. Names like Vera Wang, Angel Sanchez, and the eight popular designers I'm going to discuss below.

Carolina Herrera

The stylish fashions from this designer have been worn by American First Ladies for generations. Known for creating sleek, traditional dresses with very little fuss, Carolina Herrera has won multiple awards including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion and Womenswear Designer of the Year.

Hayley Paige

From the simple to the scandalous, Hayley Paige creates a variety of dress designs to meet the needs of brides of all types. UK fashion designer Jenny Packham first established her brand in 1988, focusing primarily on designing bridal dresses. In 2008 she added bridal accessories to her offerings. Her brand celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2013. Notable clients include such famous celebrities as Jennifer Lopez, Florence Welch, and Reese Witherspoon.

Reem Acra

Known for her signature beadwork which has been described as ethereal by some, Reem Acra is a designer known for creating elegant bridal gowns since 1997. From Lebanon, Acra's designs are now carried by exclusive retailers the world over, including Neiman Marcus, Harvey Nichols, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Clients of the designer have included celebrities like Halle Berry, Beyonce, and Angelina Jolie.

Peter Langner

Peter Langer has more than 70 stores around the world where his breathtaking designs that feature intricate detailing and remarkable craftsmanship can be found. Currently based in Rome, he previously worked with top fashion houses such as Laroche, Lacroix, Ungaro, and Dior. In 2005 his designs received the Bridal Couture Award.

Ines di Santo

Born in Italy, Ines di Santo is one of the leading designers in the world of bridal couture. Her creations utilize such exact fit, construction, and originality, that they highlight the most classic aspects of femininity. She personally oversees the production her ateliers do on each and every gown so that the quality never suffers.

Pronovias

Formerly led by Manuel Mota, Pronovias is a company known for trains that are wide and cascading with subtly tucked pockets on their wedding dresses. They have created dresses for supermodels such as Doutzen Kroes, Miranda Kerr, and Bar Refaeli.

Marchesa

Based in New York, Marchesa is a brand specializing in high end designs. The company was established in 2004 by Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman. Marchesa designs are sold in high end department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Net-a-Porter.
