Rock Candy Cocktails

You can have rock candy cocktails in any color, but this great recipe makes a beautiful blue cocktail. Mix two ounces of Hpnotiq, one ounce of citrus vodka, and a splash of white cranberry juice. Mix in a cocktail shaker, pour into a chilled cocktail glass, and add a rock candy stick in blue. This way, you have a delicious drink and you'll have your "something blue" for your wedding.

Lime Cooler

For a more informal reception, you can make this beautiful green and delicious drink by the pitcher. You'll need ¼ cup agave nectar, ¾ cup basil or tarragon, four fresh limes, ½ cup of water and 40 ounces of chilled seltzer. In a saucepan, mix the agave nectar and water and bring it to a simmer, stirring continuously. After this has completely cooled, put it in the blender, add your basil or tarragon, and puree until completely smooth. To get rid of the solid pieces, pour the mixture through a fine strainer. Quarter your lime and squeeze each part into a large pitcher. Then, zest a bit of the rind into the pitcher for extra flavor. Add your syrup and the seltzer and gently mix. Drop in a few slices of lime and serve over ice. This memorable cocktail will result in a beautiful lime green color that will be packed with flavor.

Watermelon Margaritas

If you are getting married on a beautiful, warm summer day, you'll need a bright and tasty cocktail to accompany your reception. Watermelon margaritas will give your guests a delicious explosion of sweetness and summertime in their mouths. In a saucepan, bring ½ cup sugar, ½ cup water and the zest of a large orange (or two small oranges) to a rolling boil on high heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about three to five minutes, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Let this cool in a mixing bowl for about 30 minutes. Using a blender, puree two cups of watermelon cubes until they are completely smooth. Pour this cup (or so) of liquid into your mixing bowl. Stir in ¼ cup fresh squeezed lime juice and ¾ cup of silver or white tequila. After you've mixed this together, dip the tops of your glasses in lime juice, then in salt to salt each glass. Pour in your drink mixture and add a garnish of lime to each glass. Your guests will enjoy this summertime treat as they celebrate your wedding day.

Every bride deserves a wonderful wedding day filled with memories and good times. In order to have a great time with your guests, you'll want to introduce these wonderful signature cocktails. Make sure that everyone drinks responsibly and has an excellent time.
