Larson Jewelers Introduces Hammered Tungsten Rings Line
LarsonJewelers.com, the leading online retailer of men’s wedding bands, is proud to announce they now carry hammered finish tungsten rings for men and women, just in time for the summer wedding season. Tungsten is quite popular and make up about a third of all men’s wedding rings sold in the United States. Hammered finish style rings are also very popular among men. However, there are few styles of tungsten rings with hammered finish on the market today. This is because tungsten is such a hard metal, which makes putting a hammered finish on its surface very difficult. Advances in technology have now made it less difficult to make tungsten rings with hammered finishes. “There’s just nothing more manly or rugged than a tungsten carbide ring with a hammered finish,” says Jonathan Larson, founder of Larson Jewelers.
Their first style of hammered finish tungsten ring is a ring that has the popular raised flat center and polished step edges. Normally the raised flat center is made with a brushed finish. Thorsten rings, the manufacturer, decided to add a beautiful yet rugged hammered finish pattern on the outside. To finish off the ring, an elegant white tungsten finish has been applied to the surface of the ring to give it a much whiter appearance than normal tungsten. The resulting finish is platinum like color at a fraction of the price.
Their other style with a hammered finish combines two different metals; tungsten carbide and cobalt chrome. Cobalt chrome is a metal that is extremely shatter resistant and has platinum like color. This ring is made of tungsten carbide and has a 4 mm wide cobalt chrome inlay, which has a hammered finish. The resulting look is very unique and masculine, which provides an eye catching ring due to its contrast in colors and finishes.
For those that prefer a plain simple domed ring with a hammered finish, they do offer a ring made entirely out of cobalt chrome that has a brilliant yet simple hammered finish covering the entire surface of the ring. Although tungsten carbide alloy should not contain cobalt, it is perfectly safe to combine cobalt and chromium. These two metals do not react negatively when alloyed together.
All of the rings in this new line are comfort-fit, which means the inside of the rings are rounded so they slide on and off your finger with less friction. Just like all of Thorsten’s other rings, this new line is also backed by their industry leading lifetime warranty, which covers size exchanges in case of change in finger size over one’s lifetime and protects against accidental damage; all this at no additional cost to the consumer.
